An educator does not teach only through books, lessons, or words. Students learn from the person standing in front of them.
That is why educators need to be good human beings — kind, respectful, patient, honest, empathetic, and willing to understand. A teacher may forget a lesson they taught, but students often remember how that teacher made them feel. When educators lack empathy, patience, or respect, students may feel unheard, discouraged, or even lose their trust in learning and in themselves.
Before we ask, 'What should I teach my students?' we should sometimes ask, 'What am I teaching them through the way I live?' This is the mindset behind our capacity building programs for teachers.
“The best educators don't just create good students. They help create good human beings.

But When Educators Lose the Human Touch: What Should Management Do? ❤️
An educator's responsibility is not limited to completing a syllabus. Children learn not only from what teachers teach, but also from how teachers behave, communicate, listen, and treat people.
If educators become harsh, insensitive, biased, dismissive, or disconnected from students, management should not ignore it simply because academic results are satisfactory.
The first step is to understand what is happening. Listen to students, parents, and teachers. Observe classroom practices and identify whether the issue is lack of training, stress, burnout, poor communication, or an attitude problem.
Management should provide regular capacity building in emotional intelligence, empathy, communication, classroom behaviour, child sensitivity, and professional ethics.
At the same time, compassion should not mean compromising accountability. Clear expectations, constructive feedback, mentoring, and appropriate corrective action should be part of the process.
Educators are human too. They need support, respect, and opportunities to grow—but they also carry a responsibility to create a safe and respectful environment for children.
A school cannot build compassionate human beings through educators who have lost compassion themselves.
Invest in the educator. Support the person. Strengthen the professional.
Because when educators grow as human beings, the entire school community grows with them. 🌱❤️
